What Happens When: ToulSangKe is getting MARRIED

Hello! It's almost Christmas! That's so exciting! We are having a really fun time prepping for the big Nativity the youth in the the ward are putting on for our New Year's party! Yeah, it doesn't really make sense, but neither does 90 degree weather in December so... I LOVE CAMBODIA

Well, as the subject line states, wedding bells are ringing! Apparently you gotta be careful who you teach here in this area because sometimes they all marry each other!

Our recent convert that got baptized 2 weeks ago named Pu Krouy and the member that helped us teach him are now getting married next week. So happy for them, but WOW that was so fast! They're so excited.

There is a super fun YSA couple that met in our ward a while ago. We teach them piano and english together and now they're getting married on Christmas Eve.

*NEWS* We picked up a new investigator this week that has learned with the elders before. Her name is Ming Channa. She is super sweet. She has been a Christian for 14 years! She's super excited to learn with us and even more excited because when she started coming to our church in July, she made friends with the parking lot guard and they are now MARRIED... , he started learning with us too, and both are committed to baptism. YES.

We had a rough time getting a lot of lessons this week, but we found a lot of new investigators and committed 3 people to baptism in one week. That's a pretty good week for us! Our other investigators are doing good, we just need them to keep coming to church!

Since we started teaching so many new people this week, it was a good reminder to review lesson 1 about the restoration of the gospel again. Between that and zone training this week I learned quite a lot about the plain and precious truths of the gospel that are taken for granted every single day! There was a miraculous reminder that the people that we teach everyday are having their perspective of eternity shifted every time they talk to us because they go from no knowledge of Jesus Christ or Heavenly Father and then they all of a sudden can say they know Jesus is our Savior and God has a body like us. God is our loving Heavenly Father. We are His children. He loves us. SO SIMPLE. Yet, so significant! I am so grateful for the fortunate opportunity to have learned the Gospel of Jesus Christ in this life. He blesses us all daily. I cannot express how happy I am to be a missionary and spread the good news of Christ! I know with all my heart that He lives! I love you and miss you all. Have a great holiday season!

Love,

Sister Haddock
